
Nicola Montella is a classical guitar professor at “D. Cimarosa” Conservatory in Avellino, Italy and has established himself as one of the most exciting players of his generation thanks to an intense international concert and recording career.
Winner of numerous competitions, in 2015 he received the prestigious “La Chitarra d’Oro” award as the most promising young international artist. He performs at major European and international festivals, including a tournèe in China, collaborating with prestigious orchestras such as the London
Symphony Orchestra. His discography includes releases on Brilliant Classics and Camerà Musique, as well as the CD Sonata (Dotguitar), which has been featured on RAI Radio 3, Radio Vaticana and Radio Popolare.
As a duo, they have had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with Alejandro Córdova, Andrea De Vitis, António Jorge Gonçalves, Darko Bageski, Elvis Sivčević, José Mesquita Lopes, Júlio Guerreiro, Pavle Filipović, Pedro Rodrigues, Sanel Redžić and Vojislav Ivanović.
This guitar duo has performed at festivals and tours throughout the country and abroad. Their first albums, Entre Gestos Distantes and Reminiscências iridescentes, were released by La mà de guido (Barcelona). The Euterpe Guitar Duo has been working on the dissemination of a diversified repertoire that reflects multiple aesthetic currents of today’s Portuguese musical panorama.
