Estetik; bir dil değilse bile, bir bakış biçimidir. Ve bazı bakışlar, hem kelimeye hem çizgiye, hem sese hem de harekete aynı anda hükmeder. İşte tam o yerde, sanat ile edebiyatın yolları kesişir. Bir fırça darbesinde bir dize yankılanır; bir roman karakteri, bir heykelin gölgesinde biçim bulur. Sözcükler renklenir, imgeler konuşur.
Estetik, bazen bir bahar gününü saltanata benzetmektir ve bu saltanatın güzelliği Yahya Kemal’in şu dizeleriyle can bulur;
Mevsim iyi, kâinât iyiydi;
Yıldızlar o yanda, biz bu yanda,
Hulyâ gibi hoş geçen zamanda
Sandım ki güzelliğin cihanda
Bir saltanatın güzelliğiydi.

Şiirin işaret ettiği güzellik, farklı sanat disiplinlerinin buluştuğu estetik zeminle yeniden anlam kazanır. “Estetiğin Ortak Dili” başlığını taşıyan bu çok-disiplinli buluşma, sanat dalları arasındaki derin ilişkiyi yeniden düşünmek, yeniden kurmak ve yeniden üretmek isteyen herkese açık bir çağrıdır.
Akademinin sınırlarını yaratıcı alanlarla genişletmeyi, teoriyi pratiğe yaklaştırmayı, sözcük ile görüntü arasında titreşen o estetik hattı birlikte haritalamayı istiyoruz.
Bu sempozyum, sadece konuşulan değil, hissedilen ve görülen bir alana dönüşecek. Sanatçılar, edebiyatçılar, akademisyenler, bağımsız üreticiler, küratörler, tasarımcılar, şairler, araştırmacılar ve bu dili duymaya açık olan herkes: Siz de bu ortak estetik dili kurmaya davetlisiniz.

CALL FOR PAPERS: The Common Language of Aesthetics: International Symposium on Fine Arts and Literature

Aesthetics, if not a language, is at least a way of seeing. And certain ways of seeing command word and line, sound and movement, all at once. It is precisely there that the paths of art and literature intersect. In a single brushstroke, a verse may echo; within the shadow of a sculpture, a novel’s character may take form. Words take on color, and images begin to speak.
Aesthetics is sometimes likening a spring day to a reign, and the beauty of this reign comes to life in Yahya Kemal’s verses:
Mevsim iyi, kâinât iyiydi;
Yıldızlar o yanda, biz bu yanda,
Hulyâ gibi hoş geçen zamanda
Sandım ki güzelliğin cihanda

The beauty evoked by poetry gains new meaning on the aesthetic ground where different art disciplines converge.
Entitled “The Common Language of Aesthetics,” this multidisciplinary gathering is an open call to all who wish to rethink, reconstruct, and re-create the profound connections among the arts.
We aim to expand the boundaries of academia through creative practice, to bring theory closer to artistic experience, and to chart together that vibrating aesthetic line between word and image.
This symposium will transform into a space not only of speech, but also of feeling and vision.
Artists, writers, academics, independent producers, curators, designers, poets, researchers, and all who are attuned to this language — you are invited to take part in shaping our shared aesthetic tongue.
