Zuhal Nebi

MÜMİN

1987 Ohri doğumlu olan Zühal Nebi Mümin, sedef ustalığı geleneğini yürüten bir ailenin çocuğu olarak
sanatla büyüdü. İlk sanat eğitimini babası Alaedin Nebi’den (sedef ve odun oymacılığı ustası) aldı. Liseyi
Ohri’de tamamladıktan sonra, Üsküp’te Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi Heykeltıraş bölümüne kabul edildi. Dört
yıllık eğitimini hocası Bedi İbrahim mentorlüğünde büyük tecrübelerinden ve bilgisinden yararlanarak
tamamladı. Akademideki son yılında Struga’daki “İbrahim Temo” lisesinde öğretmen olarak çalışmaya
başladı. Akademiden 2010 yılında mezun olan Zühal Nebi Mümin, yurt içi ve Türkiye’de birçok sanat
etkinliğine ve karma sergilere de katıldı.

Born in 1987 in Ohrid, Zühal Nebi Mümin grew up with art as the daughter of a family pursuing the tradition
of mother-of-pearl craftsmanship. She received her first art education from her father Alaedin Nebi (master
of mother-of-pearl and wood carving crafts). Following her high school graduation in Ohrid, she was amitted
to the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Skopje where she studied for four years under
the mentorship of her teacher Bedi Ibrahim whose extensive experience and knowledge have played a great
role in her artistic evolution. In her last year at the Academy, she started working as a teacher at the “Ibrahim
Temo” high school in Struga. Zühal Nebi Mümin graduated from the Academy in 2010 and took part in many
artistic events and group exhibitions both in Türkiye and abroad.
