Özet
Sanat eseri, insanların anlayış gücü ve duygularında bir etki uyandırması için yapılır.
Yapıtın sanatsal niteliği ancak izleyicilerde yoğun bir içsel yankıma yaratmasıyla değer
kazanabilir. Bu bağlamda, bu araştırmanın esas amacı, bir sanat yapıtında anlamı belirleyen,
anlama etki eden ögelerin neler olduğu ve biçim ile içerik arasında ne tür bir ilişki olduğunu
irdelemek ve bu alanda yapılan tartışmalara katkı sağlayabilmektir. Bu kapsamda biçim ve içerik
ilişkisinin diyalektiği ve bu ilişkiye etki eden deformasyon kavramı irdelenmiştir. Bu amaç
doğrultusunda konuyla ilgili kavramlar tartışılmış, metnin seyri ve akışı içerisinde, sanat tarihi
sayfalarında yer bulmuş, en iyi olduğu düşünülen sanat eseri örnekleri gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.
Araştırmayı sınırlandırmak ve konuya hâkimiyet sağlayabilmek adına, Sanayi Devrimi
sonrasındaki eserler örnek olarak verilmiş ve sadece resim sanatı kapsamındaki eserler
incelenmiştir. Belirtilen konu ve zaman aralığı dışında kalan yazılı ve görsel veriler, araştırma
kapsamı dışında bırakılmıştır. İncelenen çalışmalar sonucunda, resim yapıtlarında, deformasyon
ögesinin, biçim ve içerik ilişkisini etkilediği ve ifadeyi güçlendirdiği bulgulanmıştır.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND CONTENT AND THE ELEMENT OF
DEFORMATION IN THE ARTWORK

Abstract
Artwork is made to make an impact on people's understanding and emotions. The artistic
quality of the work can only be appreciated if it creates an intense inner resonance in the audience.
In this context, the main purpose of this research is to examine the elements that determine the
meaning and affect the meaning in a work of art, and what kind of relationship there is between
form and content, and to contribute to the discussions in this field. In this context, the dialectic of
the relationship between form and content and the concept of deformation affecting this
relationship are examined. For this purpose, the concepts related to the subject were discussed, and
the examples of the works of art that were thought to be the best were tried to be shown in the
course and flow of the text, found in the pages of art history. In order to limit the research and to
dominate the subject, the works after the industrial revolution were given as examples and only the
works within the scope of painting were examined. Written and visual data outside the specified
subject and time period are excluded from the scope of the research. As a result of the studies
examined, it was found that the deformation element affects the relationship between form and
content and strengthens the expression in paintings.
