Final Meeting of the OGME Project Held in Ankara
The third and final meeting of the Good Practice Techniques in Music Education for Young People with Autism (OGME) Project was hosted by Ankara Music and Fine Arts University between 1–3 December 2025. Project partners from Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania participated in the meeting.
Within the scope of the meeting, the digital guide, project website, and project videos developed throughout the project were presented and evaluated, and general assessments regarding the final stage of the project were conducted. Activities to be completed in line with the project objectives, dissemination efforts, and detailed future-oriented planning for sustainability were discussed. In addition, workshops held during the meeting enabled the sharing of good practice examples among the partners.
The OGME Project concluded with a meaningful concert organized within the scope of 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Bizim Orkestra, composed of students with special needs from our university, took the stage together with the artist Tuğba Özerk at the “Beyond Barriers” awareness concert. Held at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) Historic Hall, the concert attracted great interest from the audience.
Accompanied by the Ankara Music and Fine Arts University Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Maestro Atay Bağcı, the concert featured a repertoire comprising various musical genres, which was performed with great success. The concert stood out for both the artistic performances of the students and the strong awareness message it conveyed.
Ankara Music and Fine Arts University continues to support national and international projects that aim to increase the participation of individuals with special needs in social life through artistic production, in line with its inclusive and integrative educational approach.
